Knightly Update – September 2014

September is here, and with it comes school, football (pick your flavor—High School, College or Pro), marching bands, cooler temperatures and shorter days.  Everything is getting busier again, and that includes activities for our council!

This month sees the return of pancake breakfasts (Sunday the 14th) and spaghetti dinners (Wednesday the 17th), as well as our soccer challenge and essay contest kickoffs.  We also have our final Adopt-a-hiway for the season (Saturday the 20th).  To all brother knights, I want to extend a friendly request to come out and help at as many of these events as you can, with a special thanks to those of you who are always there to help out.  To everyone in the parish, I extend an invitation to join us in these events.  Our council is here to serve you and the parish!

As a reminder, our Baby Bottle and Tootsie Roll Drives are coming up in just a few weeks as well.

I hope everyone has a great start to the fall season and pray for the success of all students and teachers, especially those passing on the faith to our children.

Vivat Jesus!
